Turkey Breast with Lemon and Greens

Are you guys keeping up with those New Years resolutions? not smoking? exercising? eating healthy? I’m doing quite well so far and our skiing trip helped a lot and gave a big push to get back on track with physical activities. while eating habits are a bit harder to break in. we treated ourselves with Chinese takeaways, Grubbs burgers and way too much of Guinness last weekend, so the week was all about healthy eating, drinking lots of water and experimenting with new super-foods.
Thus, today I’m sharing my quick healthy lunch idea. It will only take you about 20mins for both- prepare and cook, so you can have a little break in between the jobs while waiting for your meal.
what you’ll need:
• sliced turkey breast
• handful of spinach
• 1/2 lemon
• sweet basil + tarragon
• sea salt + black pepper
• some olive oil
• buckwheat (I used half of glass for one portion)
• some curley parsley
• 1/4 leek
how to prepare:
• add buckwheat into boiling water and leave it for about 15 mins on the medium heat.
• take turkey slices and rub in some olive oil and sea salt + black pepper. when place foil on the cooking tray and add your turkey. pre-heat the oven and grill the turkey for about 10mins. when add chopped spinach, tarragon and basil and squeeze lemon juice on top. Leave it until turkey is done. should be another 10 mins in the oven.
• check your buckwheat it should be almost done, add chopped curly parsley and leek into the pot, add salt+pepper, mix everything and leave for another 5 mins on the low heat. and you should be all done!
I love to squeeze some lemon juices on top for this dish as well as serve it with some fresh rockets!
Enjoy!

3 Things To Consider When Starting An E-commerce Shop On Your Blog

Do you feel like the time has come to take your blog to a new level? Introducing an e-commerce shop might be just the right to do then. However, before you begin, make sure you properly decided on these three things.

#1 Is Your Platform Ready For This?

At the moment, there are two popular eCommerce platforms that I can recommend which is Shopify or WordPress + WooCommerce.
Shopify is a fully hosted eCommerce solution. However, the downside to Shopify is that it gets quite expensive, and your payment options are limited unless you pay additional fees.
This is why most of my clients choose WordPress + WooCommerce. It does require some setup, but it’s worth doing it for the long run. WooCommerce is the world’s largest eCommerce platform & it’s currently trusted by over 40 million users and I personally use it with all of my businesses.
If you already blog on WordPress, all you need to do is set up Woo-Commerce, in this tutorial I’ve explained all the steps you need to take in order to start an online shop using WordPress.

#2 Products You’re Going To Sell

Think about what products you can sell on your blog. These products need to fit in the niche you’re already blogging about. You see, if you suddenly start selling tech-products on your beauty blog it might look a bit odd and your audience will not monetise easily.
The goods you introduce to your audience need to determine your knowledge in a certain field. If you wish to avoid keeping stock and investing into your products upfront, consider creating some digital products or try dropshipping.

#3 Payment Methods That Work For You

Bringing in sales is the most important part of any business, but it’s just as important to choose the right method for accepting payments. Besides considering the additional cost that payment getaways might bring to your business, it’s also important to choose options that accept businesses from your own country or your customers’ country of origin. Analyse where your audience is based at and make sure to do the re-search on what would work best for their needs. Read more about best payment getaways here.

I am not sure if I was the one still living in the last century or something, but I never though about the possibility to make pasta in one pot with sauce elements. it seems so obvious now, when I tried it! and believe me, it was so good that I think it will become one of my favourite fast dinners of all times. I found this idea on Martha Stewarts website and added some extra ingredients (as always).

Tuna Fish Tacos Recipe

Tuna Fish Tacos Recipe

sweetcorn-salad,-spinach,-tacos,-blogger,-tuna
I have this recent obsession with Mexican food. however, the boy being a pescatarian makes it a bit difficult when it comes to cooking really meaty-based dishes. that’s where tuna usually saves me. it’s really filling and remind me of a meat a bit. especially tuna steaks- they taste like a beef when well prepared. so the other day, I came up with this Tuna Fish Tacos Recipe. I remembered we had a box full of taco shells in the cupboard and I put some ingredients together to enjoy it while re-watching Games of Thrones (preparation for a new season!).
sweetcorn-salad,-spinach,-tacosso basically it’s sooo easy to make! just take a pan, chop the onion and fry it with olive oil and some garlic. then add beans (I used half the bag of mixed beans before sinking them overnight and boiling for about an hour), some tomato puree, tuna (1 can chinks in spring water), chopped tarragon, basil and any other spices you might like. don’t forget salt + pepper, of course! I also added some sliced snow peas at the end.
prepare the salads for topping. I made mine with cherry tomatoes, spinach, sweetcorns & olive oil with herbs. Some rockets and cucumber would go really well, but I was too lazy to go to the shop (honesty is the best policy, huh?)
before eating, place taco shells in the preheated oven for about 5-10mins. have them with some jalapeƱos, your favourite beverage and have a great evening!
sweetcorn-salad,-spinach,-tacos,-salad,-tomatoesand this is it! we filled our bellies just perfectly and we will be making this some time soon! it’s a great option if you’re on protein diet and just need some quick meal after a workout!

Mustard and Citrus Prawns Bulghur Recipe

so I’m all into cooking as healthy as possible these days. with so much stress, junk food and parties going on for the last few months I just felt like it’s the time to start caring a little more. of course, I still have an occasional burger on the weekends, but I promised myself to give some extra thought to what we cook at home. this means no frozen pizzas for my fella and no buttery garlic breads for me. we are doing pretty well so far and I can already feel the difference. of course, daily exercising also makes a huge impact, so don’t forget you have to combine these two!
today I’m introducing you to one of my to-go recipe when you need something healthy, but a little bit more interesting.
Mustard and Citrus Prawns served with bulghur and veggies
what you’ll need:
•  200g cooked prawns
•  1 orange
•  2-3 garlic cloves
•  a spoon of mustard
•  fresh basil
•  salt + pepper + olive oil
•  1 cup of bulghur
•  1 leek
•  1 stalk of celery
•  1 red pepper
•  a handful of spinach
prawns, marinate, orange, recipehow to prepare:
• first- prepare your prawns. this will take about 40 mins, so do this upfront if you can. just take a bowl and add your prawns. then – squeeze orange juice and mix everything together. grate your garlic really thinly and add to the bowl, also ad a spoon of mustard, some olive oil, salt + pepper, fresh basil and close the bowl with a lid and leave in the fridge for at least 30mins.
• prepare your bulghur- just make it the way you cook rices and spread some salt+ pepper on top, when cooked.
• when your prawns are ready: preheat some olive oil in the pan, add chopped leek, celery and red pepper, fry for about 5 mins and then add the prawns, 2 spoons of marinate and spinach. my marinate was quite sour this time, so I added some extra water and a little spoon of honey to fix things a little (honey gives a nice sweet taste and goes just nicely with prawns and mustard). let it stew on the low heat for about 10 mins with a close lid.
• when your veggies and prawns are well cooked- add them to bulghur and mix everything together. you can add some reduce fat soya sauce if you like and add some extra spices.
and this is it- quite simple, good for you and believe me- very tasty!
let me know if you try this at home, friends!
